The Senior Cabinetry Designer is responsible for passionately assisting clients with their vision for their home by providing superior level of cabinetry design that reflects the client’s lifestyle needs and wishes. Role Responsibilities may Include:

• Designing and creating cabinetry layouts for renovation and new build projects using design software
• Maintaining relationships with new and existing retail, builder and contractor accounts
• Effectively closing sales by following GCW standards and procedures set in place
• Meeting with clients in either GCW showroom locations (St. Thomas or London) or on-site for initial measurements and design consultation
• Establishing business networks by attending events and meetings outside daily work responsibilities

Essential Duties:

• Interpret and understand architectural plans
• Effective and reliable communication skills both verbally and non-verbally
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time

Preferred skills and abilities:

• Effective communication skills with coworkers and clients
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and building codes related to cabinetry design
• High level of personal integrity
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the cabinetry design and sales industry

Considered Assets:

• Cabinet Vision software experience
• Post-Secondary Education in a related discipline would be considered an asset
   

Education:  High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Training in a postsecondary education is preferred but not required.
