Responsibilities:

• Design and analysis of aircraft and aircraft components and assemblies
• Development and design of repair/rework dispositions for non-conforming conditions
• Development and design of engineering processes
• Coordinate activities to evaluate and resolve engineering-related production problems
• Review/correct engineering specifications, orders and related information
• Provide engineering support to production, customer support, materials management, quality control and other department personnel
• Interpret engineering drawings and facilitate correction of errors on engineering documents identified during manufacturing operations
• Intermediate degree of independent decision making based on departmental rules or policies, sound engineering judgment, experience, and company goals or objectives
• Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience:

• Engineering degree – Mechanical or Aerospace
• 0 to 3 years experience
• Design experience using DraftSight (AutoCAD) and Solid Edge (CATIA experience an asset)
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in PC use and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to understand rudimentary engineering structural analysis methods (knowledge of Patran and Nastran an asset)
• Knowledge of composite materials
• Ability to learn
• Highly motivated and self starting
• Willing and able to travel to provide onsite engineering support (national and international)
