The Office of the President provides leadership and direction that enables the University’s faculties and support units to achieve their strategic goals and objectives.

The Administrative Coordinator will provide professional administrative and logistic support with a high level of confidentiality to the Vice President, University Advancement. The position is responsible for the management of relationships with internal and external stakeholders who interact with the Vice President's Office. The Coordinator will also act as a key resource to all members of the President's Office team to ensure communication and client service needs are met at the highest level. In addition, the Coordinator will be accountable for providing a wide range of advanced and diversified executive support functions of a highly responsible and confidential nature to the Vice President and members of the senior leadership team.

Education:
-   Undergraduate University Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Communications or Public Relations
-   Canadian Institute in Management Certificate is preferred

Experience:
-   5 years' progressive experience successfully supporting a senior executive, ideally obtained in a complex public sector environment
-   Previous administrative and professional experience within an academic setting is preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-   Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office
-   Knowledge of general office administration policies
-   Superior verbal and written communication skills and confidence interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of an organization
-   Judgment, analytical and problem solving skills with a consultative and collaborative approach to addressing issues and opportunities
-   Possesses a reputation for resourcefulness with a strong sense of accountability and initiative
-   Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
-   Able to build and maintain lasting relationships within department, with other departments, key business partners and external agencies
-   Demonstrated ability to work independently (with minimal supervision) and take initiative and follow through on work priorities
-   Creative problem-solving skills and sound professional judgment, especially regarding confidential/sensitive matters and complex issues
-   Positive, outgoing attitude with an unwavering commitment to customer service and teamwork
