Manager of Information Technology
The Manager of Information Technology will report directly to the Director of Finance and is responsible for the oversight, planning and maintenance of our technology solutions. This position will provide leadership on all technology projects giving special attention to security and cost-saving measures. Technology will be leveraged to streamline our processes, maximize our efficiencies and drive our profitability. Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure ongoing reliability, availability, performance and security of our data infrastructure and telecommunications systems.
- Investigate and deploy new technologies to maximize employee efficiencies with a reasonable rate of return.
- Governance and implementing best practices for our business to ensure high levels of security, risk management, disaster recovery planning and compliance with software licensing.
- Installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware/ software (Virtualized environment, desktop and laptop systems, barcode readers, printers, fax, copiers, and Shortel phone system).
- Provide high quality first and secondary level support for end users.
- Plan and administer annual expense and capital budgets.
- Coordinate end-user training sessions for software and new technology.
- Provide technical guidance to other team members.
- Complete special projects as required.
Key Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in network and system administration, setup and support.
- VMWARE experience is required.
- Veeam Backup and Replication experience.
- Microsoft Active Directory experience.
- Extensive experience in building virtual Win2012, Win2008, Win2003 servers.
- Experience with MS SQL server and MS Exchange 2010.
- Some SAN Storage Management experience – Netapp preferred.
- Ability to analyze IT infrastructure and identify possible problems.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts required.
- Advanced skills supporting and troubleshooting MS Office products.
- Demonstrated hands-on diagnostic and installation skills.
- Experience with AS400 (an asset).
- HTML, .Net development knowledge (an asset).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Available and willing to work planned and unexpected overtime.
- Motivated team player with excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence and lifelong learning
