Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an IT Analyst in the London area. This will be a short-term role from approximately May thru  September with a possibility of extension to be determined per current business needs.  This role will be responsible for user support and customer service on company supported computer applications and platforms. Troubleshoot problems and advise on the appropriate action, and participate in system maintenance and administration activities.
 
Responsibilities:

General Activities
 
  • Computer hardware and software support including but not limited to Windows OS, Ubuntu Linux OS, Outlook, MS Office, anti-virus software, Citrix virtual desktop connection troubleshooting and web based application administration
  • Maintain IT hardware including PCs, photocopiers, printers, etc. and assist in maintaining asset inventory
  • Active Directory group and user account creation / termination / administration
  • Distribution list and network folder / file access administration and troubleshooting
  • TCP/IP and Ethernet network troubleshooting including remote access via web interface
  • VOIP phone setup and troubleshooting
  • BlackBerry Server administration and handheld configuration and troubleshooting
  • Printer access administration and troubleshooting (both local and network printing)
  • Contacting VOIP and mobile services vendors for troubleshooting and account administration
  • Assist with all other duties as required by management
 
Communication & Customer Service Expectancies
 
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and electronically in a professional manner
  • Advise user on appropriate action and educate them in an effort to reduce repeat incidents
  • Ensure all notes and updates are recorded on each ticket for appropriate reporting and problem tracking
  • Ensure all clients (internal, external and vendors/suppliers) are responded to in a timely manner
  • Be available outside of business hours to identify and respond to major incidents and outages
 
 Qualifications: 
 
  • College Diploma or University Degree in related filed
  • Microsoft Certifications and/or other recognized technical certification related to hardware and/or software
  • Educational training or 2-3 years experience in the following:
    • Active Directory account creation / changes and file / folder access permissions
    • Exchange / Outlook / mobile email (BlackBerry and ActiveSync)
    • VOIP telephony systems and mobile telephone technologies
    • Enterprise class backup systems and anti-virus systems
    • Enterprise printing and network file storage environments
    • Incident prioritization skills - identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
