Lucas Professional Search Group is currently recruiting for a Controller with a growing manufacturing facility in the Chatham-Kent area. The main role of the Controller will be to act as an advisor to senior management, to oversee all accounting functions, and assist as needed with daily business operations.
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Preparing month end and company financial statements
• Make recommendations on accounting process and procedures and make improvement when necessary
• Cash management and reporting
• Preparing company budget
• Managing AP/APR and making collection calls when needed
• Cost accounting
• Forecasting
• Designing and developing key operating indicators
• Inventory control
• Additional responsibilities include office management, human resources, operations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Controller in a manufacturing facility
• Post-Secondary education
• Completion or progression towards CGA or CMA designation
• Hands on approach
• Experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency with Quickbooks and Simply Accounting
