Computer Programmer / Web Developer (Junior - Intermediate - Senior)

The growing Canadian team works to support global initiatives through the development of web-based tools and technologies that facilitate training and assessment opportunities, whether online, face-to-face, or as part of blended learning solutions.

Our London, Ontario office is currently looking for experienced system developers who can wear many hats and are comfortable working with both back-end and front-end technologies including PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and everything in between.

What we're looking for:

• Strong demonstrated knowledge of web-based application development concepts, principles, and best practices, demonstrated in a portfolio of past work.
• Proven understanding of PHP
• Knowledge of database-driven backends (including MySQL & MS SQL).
• Frontend development experience using Javascript, jQuery, and libraries such as KnockoutJS.
• Understanding of code versioning tools such as SVN/Git.
• Experience using a wide variety of languages, tools, and methodologies including HTML5, XML, JSON, CSS, REST, SOAP.
• Familiarity with Model-View-Controller (MVC) based frameworks, microservice architectures, and security principles (including hashing, encryption, XSS, CSRF, etc.).
• Ability to work both in a team environment & individually on assigned tasks.
• Asset: Experience developing apps for mobile devices and tablets (iOS/Android).
• Asset: Proficiency in some of the following tools/technologies: Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex, Microsoft .NET (C#, VB.net). 
• Asset: Willingness and ability to be on-call (and work from home when called) outside of normal office hours, typically on a scheduled basis but also in case of emergency.
