Part-time Personal Attendants needed for St. Thomas-Elgin
We currently require Personal Attendants in the St. Thomas area. The successful candidates will live nearby and be able to provide services to our consumers. You have a very flexible schedule and can work mornings or evenings and weekends; shifts will vary.

We are a non-profit organization that has dedicated over 36 years to meeting the attendant service needs of individuals with physical disabilities in London and five surrounding counties. In London we support adults with physical disabilities and frail seniors to live independently in their communities through the provision of personal support services that are mutually respectful and value the contributions of all. Responsibilities will/may include personal grooming, bathing, washing and hygiene; toileting and bowel routines, stabilized bowel/bladder care; getting up and going to bed; transfers, lifts and other assisted mobility needs; meal preparation, serving, clean up and assisted eating; cleaning and laundry; escort to appointments id necessary, range of motion and general fitness exercises; injectable insulin; tracheotomy care; and intermittent catheterization.
To be considered for a Personal Attendant position all applicants must:
- Hold a PSW or DSW certificate or experience in lieu of certificate
- Possess a valid Canadian Driver’s License and have regular access to a reliable vehicle
- Have valid automobile insurance
- Currently have (or able to acquire) a current and negative Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Be available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends and understand the nature of our work and the importance of good attendance
- Ability to use proper body mechanics and safe lifting/ transferring techniques
We offer a starting pay rate of $19.54/hr + 8% in lieu of benefits and compensation for mileage and travel time. On the job training, development opportunities, Emergency First Aid and CPR (re)certification are also provided by the agency.
