Voyago Transdev is hiring a Data Administrator for our Ontario Student Transportation division. This position will be based in our London, Ontario location

Your role
Reporting to the VP Student Transportation, you will be responsible for effectively analyzing and reporting on operational data for internal and external usage.

1. Data Analysis

  • Data exporting, data mining and visualizing  to predict trends and outcomes for internal operation management and relationship meetings with contract contacts
  • Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and Power BI dashboards.
  • Ensure Student Transportation KPI’s are accurately populated and tracked on a daily basis to the Corporate Dashboard 
  • Present findings and  prepare reports to management
  • Create daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports in timely manner

2. Data Base Management

  • Maintaining Data Warehouse, tables, data flows and datasets.
  • Managing, monitoring and maintaining company databases 
  • Making requested changes, updates and modifications to database structure and data 


3. Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct regular audits of data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Implement data cleansing and validation procedures to maintain data integrity.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to address any data quality issues identified during audits.

4. Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
  • Propose and implement enhancements to database structures or workflows to optimize efficiency.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate existing procedures to identify areas for improvement.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and requirements.
  • Work closely with IT personnel to troubleshoot database-related issues and implement solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on data access, interpretation, and utilization.

6. Data Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and company policies.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive information stored in databases.
  • Stay informed about emerging data privacy laws and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

7. Trend Analysis and Forecasting:

  • Utilize statistical techniques and predictive modeling to identify trends and forecast future outcomes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis results to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) over time and communicate notable changes or patterns to stakeholders.

8. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Document database structures, processes, and procedures for reference and training purposes.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster collaboration and skill development.
  • Maintain an organized repository of analytical tools, templates, and resources for easy access by the team.

This role is based in our London, Ontario office and is not remote.


Your Profile:

  • You have a college Diploma or Equivalent
  • You are computer literate in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel and intermediate Power BI levels of experience
  • You bring previous data management manipulation & analysis expereince to this role
  • You have expereince preparing reports based on the data analysis and findings
  • You have previous customer service experience
  • You posses strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
  • You have excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication
  • You are able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • You can work well independently and as a collaborative team member
  • You are up-to-date with trends and developments in analytical tools : Power BI, DAX code and Excel.
  • Knowledge of creating and maintaining data flows, datasets and Power BI reports
