Automotive Customer Service Representative

Job Description

If you love cars and working with the public this position will be of interest to you. Working at our dynamic mechanical shop as the Automotive CSR you will be the first point of contact for our customers. This role is critical in acting as the liason between the customer and the mechanic. This broad position will see you specifically responsible for the following:
  • Greeting walk in customers in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Ascertaining mechanical problems and writing work orders and cost estimates
  • Explaining necessary repairs and maintenance requirements to customers
  • Ordering parts
  • Entering customer information into data base
  • Answer inbound calls from customers promptly and professionally regarding anything from paperwork updates to service questions
  • Respond to all emails in a professional and timely manner
  • Make outbound calls to customers
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
  •  Automotive/mechanical knowledge
  • Previous car dealership experience would be an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience ordering parts on with shop management software
  • Above average mathematical abilities
  • Problem solving skills a must
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability and willingness to follow through on issues to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Able to handle multiple priorities in a busy work environment
  • Able to perform duties with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to work harmoniously in a team environment
