Job Description
Agilus is recruiting for a Controls Specialist in the Automation Solutions industry in London, Ontario.
The Controls Specialist will develop solutions to complex automation problems. This individual will work on various stages of automation and control projects including electrical design, PLC programming, HMI design, SCADA systems, and troubleshooting, testing & debugging.
A typical day:
- Electrical design, PLC programming, HMI design, SCADA systems, and troubleshooting,
testing & debugging. - Apply Project Management skills: developing project schedules, budgets while working with clients & internal teams. Ensure the completion of all project deliverables to the satisfaction of the client.
- Be involved in planning - identify industry business drivers & trends to assist in developing key offerings to the clients.
- Attend client field service & emergency calls, as well is take part in customer meetings and sharing technical knowledge.
Successful candidates will have:
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering
- Over 3 years of experience in the Automation industry.
- Design, Procurement, Programming, Testing, Commissioning & Maintenance of controls systems experience.
- PLC's: Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi / Omron.
DCS: Honeywell / Delta V, Rockwell PlantPAx.
SCADA: Rockwell, Ignition, Wonderware.
HMI's: Rockwell / Siemens
VFS's & Servos.
Network design & implementation - Experience with network architecture design, system virtualization and AutoCAD/Electrical Design
- Strong client-focused approach, providing exceptional client experiences to both internal and external customers
- Strong communication skills are required - verbal & written, this role will be communicating directly with clients & customers.
