Job Description
Purpose of the role
Bookings
This is a full-time, seasonal job (40 hours per week), with the weekly schedule of hours determined by bookings in the park. The Park Attendant will work primarily on-site at the park. This role requires regular hours during the evening and on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) to oversee events in the park.

- To prepare the park for all events/bookings that will take place there
- To ensure all users of the park are authorized/permitted
- To oversee all events – provide information & services, as needed, to ensure a great experience for all guests
Bookings
- Take bookings for the facility
- Collect payment for all rentals
- Ensure the necessary indemnities/waivers are signed by all renters prior to park use
- Arrange for the opening and closing of the park per the checklist provided
- Arrange start & end of service provision with designated contractors
- Arrange for maintenance, repairs and refueling of the Kubota ATV
- Repair, paint or stain picnic tables and bleachers as needed
- Unlock and lock road gate leading into the park daily
- Groom ball diamonds daily
- Inspect soccer field daily
- Groom walking trail and parking lot as needed
- Inspect grounds and playground area daily to ensure equipment and grounds are in safe condition
- Prepare the park for each event – duties such as setting up tables & BBQs, removing all rubbish, cleaning the pavilion, cleaning & restocking washrooms
- Oversee all events in the park – ensure users are permitted, enforce rules for safety and security of the premises
- Complete incident reports, as needed
- Cancel activities if conditions are unsafe. Evacuate the park as required for bad weather or other safety hazard
- Arrange for any repairs to the building and/or grounds
- Inspect grounds daily to ensure cutting and other landscaping tasks are being performed properly (fertilization, aeration, removal of branches, cutting of grass to proper height)
- Arrange for animal/pest control as required
- Inventory and replace first aid supplies as needed

Qualifications

- An effective communicator, committed to regular, clear, and timely sharing of information
- Capably and confidently operate a motorized four-wheeler (all-terrain vehicle, ATV)
- Preferably an upper-year or graduating college or university student in Landscape Design, Sports Management, or Recreation & Leisure
- Certified in First Aid/CPR training
- A valid driver’s license and personal transportation
