Job Description
Description of Responsibilities
I. Sales Development
- To execute sales strategies and initiate outgoing telephone sales calls to customers regarding products and services offered by the TIM-BR MART Group to develop company sales and achieve market growth and sales budget, expand sales activity, both in volume and in product diversity, to ensure maximum profitability;
- To promote the use of the various programs and services offered by the TIM-BR MART Group;
- To follow-up with customers to promote sales;
- Report, on a regular basis, to the Sales Development Supervisor on the performance of the sales initiatives and opportunities for sales development;
II. Customer Service and Orders
- To answer all incoming customer inquiries regarding products and services and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction;
- To act as the central point of contact for customers and direct them to the appropriate departments;
- To verify stock, prices and/or delivery dates for customers;
- To verify inventory status and delivery status with other departments;
- To assist customers with their orders
- To promote the use of the electronic catalogue and setup dealers on the system so they can place orders;
- To maintain a sound understanding of the computer system in order to efficiently handle customer inquiries;
- To prepare planogram orders for customers when implementing new stores or renovating existing stores;
III. Communication
- To ensure regular communication with Business Development Agents to ensure that the customers are supplied with the proper information;
- To communicate with other departments to obtain information in order to better serve the customer and efficiently respond to their inquiries;
- To offer full, complete, efficient and proactive support and collaboration to the other employees of the TIM-BR MART Group with a particular attention to the following functions:
- Regional Director of Member Services
- Business Development Team
- Planogram Team
- Merchandisers
- Merchandising Team
- Operations Team
IV. Knowledge

To obtain and maintain a high level of knowledge about every subject matter necessary to the optimum level of execution of the Sales Development Agent role and, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, dedicating a particular attention to knowledge about all the offered products and services;
V. General Administration
- To timely, diligently and proactively provide the Sales Development Supervisor with reports regarding major concerns, opportunities, current situations, and information on the assigned region;
- To request pricing from vendors for products that are not carried in the Distribution Centre;
- To prepare price quotes for dealers who request large quantities of merchandise;
- To periodically verify various reports: list of picked orders, freezable items, pesticide permits, etc. and make follow-up calls;
- To verify customer credit price requests;
- To submit non-stock items and discounted stock items.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Post-Secondary Education in Marketing or Sales
- 3-5 years of sales development experience in a related industry
- Must be able to handle heavy load, up to 20 lbs
