Position Summary

Reporting to the Department Manager this position is responsible for implementing, applying and maintaining quality standards inside a manufacturing production environment. Leading and supporting quality initiatives within the production department including processes, products, and personnel.

 

Duties and Responsibilities  

·     Leading and coordinating investigations within production including CAPA implementation

·     Initiating and coordinating change controls

·     Conducting self-inspections in production ensuring compliance to standard

·     Analyzing batch documents for adverse trends and proposing corrective actions as required

·     Identifying continuous improvement opportunities, coming up with solutions, and leading their implementation

·     Assessing quality issues in production areas in collaboration with QA

·     Working with training personnel in delivery of effective and prompt training

·     Supporting the process of creating, reviewing and revising master production documents, ensuring and maintaining consistency

·     Complying with all SOP’s, GMP’s and safety procedures

·     Completing all documentation as required

·     Reporting and implementing corrective actions for trends and quality issues

·     Participating in regulatory inspections and customer audits

·     Must be able to work extended hours, weekends as needed, especially when problems occur or when deadlines must be met

·     Perform other duties as required

 

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • University Degree or College Diploma is required.
  • Certificate or other formal qualification awarded based on completion of a course in a Life Sciences related field would be considered.
  • Two (2) years of relevant and practical experience in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing,  food processing and/or GMP facility

  • Demonstrates trustworthiness by being honest, dependable, and reliable
  • Ability to operate in a respectful and professional manner at all times
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
  • Strong working knowledge of computers and skilled in the use of Microsoft Office
