StarTech.com is currently looking for an experienced Director, North American Sales, Distribution to join our sales team at our Corporate Office in London, Ontario.
 
Reporting to Chief Sales Officer, the Director, Distribution Sales will be responsible for leading a team of Account Managers to meet and exceed sales and profit goals of StarTech.com’s Distribution channels through ownership of that team.  This role is ultimately accountable for individual and team productivity and serves as a leader within the sales organization.  The role will focus on the strategic growth of Distribution accounts to achieve profitable sales of the company’s products to targeted levels. The Director will coach their team to optimize and strengthen existing accounts by expanding the depth of cross-functional relationships between Startech.com and our partners.  They will also act as a conduit for customer feedback into the organization in order to facilitate continued improvement and ultimately, increased revenue growth.
 
If You Enjoy 
  • Leading an Account Management team in the development and implementation of account plans directly linked the organization’s strategic objectives while providing an exceptional customer service experience
  • Coaching an Account Manager team to manage their individual business portfolios effectively and profitably and advising team on strategies to improve sales performance and achievement of goals
  • Implementing, monitoring and managing cross-functional strategic initiatives within distribution accounts
  • Working cross-functionally across the organization to identify key opportunities consistent with a defined strategy across all accounts, building and executing a plan for achievement
  • An understanding of distribution operations and logistics, specifically reducing dock to stock times
  • Driving revenue growth of existing and new products by optimizing product mix within accounts based on collaboration between product, market research, channel marketing, supply chain and customer relationship insight
  • Synchronizing activities to optimize results - including but not limited to New Product Launch process and customer business cycles 
And Have Evidence of 
  • Senior level relationship sales experience, which includes management of channel partners in a B2B or B2C environment
  • Significant experience successfully managing account relationships at all levels of target accounts; knowledge of applicable sales programs, business sales process procedures and related tools
  • Building and leading high performing teams as an executive level leader - mentoring, performance coaching, communication, motivation, and group development skills
  • Strong business acumen and influencing ability with a record of building highly collaborative cross-functional relationships, emphasizing a focus on team achievement
  • Being hungry for results and not afraid to get into the details to achieve wins and accelerate the plan. Opportunistic in terms of driving business results and is a builder who thrives in a growth environment
  • Proven ability in the creation, implementation and execution of account plans and channel programs to drive profitable growth
