Type of Position: Full-time temporary until December 22, 2017
Salary: $26.05 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week
Closing Date: Open Until Filled
Note: This is a full-time temporary position (35 hours per week) until December 22, 2017.
Duties: Within defined portfolios while under the direction of the Payroll Supervisor and as part of a team, the incumbent administers the payroll process and documentation of newly hired employees, retirees, terminations, and lay-offs as they relate to benefits and compensation. The incumbent will focus primarily on high-volume contract and time entry.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary 2 year diploma in Payroll, Business, Finance or Human Resources
- Minimum 3 years recent and practical experience in Payroll
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- Canadian Payroll Association certification preferred
- Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
