Our client in Waterloo is looking for an Application Developer to join their team on a 12 month contract with possible extension. For this role you must have ideally 5 years experience with PHP, Perl and Javascript as well as working in a Linux environment. As a member of the IT team, you will be responsible for developing & supporting software solutions for commercial products and internal operations. You will also work closely with various team including operations to design, develop & maintain necessary business systems.
Qualifications:
* 5 years experience developing moderately complex systems with PHP, Perl, and Javascript.
* 5 years of software development experience
* 5 years of MySQL experience (with business systems)
* 3-5 years in a Linux environment
* Experience as a business applications developer and gathering user requirements
* Experience developing or supporting ETL solutions preferred
* Node.js experience a plus.
* Extensive technical problem solving skills
* Knowledge of software development platforms, environments, etc.
* Computer Science, IT, or related degree preferred
* Detail and quality oriented , great communicator and enjoys learning new technologies,
