Job Description

On behalf of our client in London, ON, we are currently seeking an Accounting Assistant on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be experienced with AP, AR and Bank Reconciliations.
 
Duties (may include and not limited to)
  • Provide administrative and accounting support to head accountant
  • Accounts Payable functions
  • Accounts Receivable functions
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Review documents to ensure accuracy and completion
  • Data entry, filing, faxing and copying files as needed
  • Creating reports as needed 
  • Journal Entries 
  • General administrative duties are required 
Requirements
  • Minimum of a 2 year College diploma or University degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an Accounting or Bookkeeping role
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
Compensation $16-20 per hour
 
Hours
Candidates must be available to work 3-5 days per week, depending upon client needs. All shifts will be between Monday and Friday, and daytime hours
