Purchaser – Full Time Permanent
Armo-Tool designs and builds custom manufacturing solutions. We work with automotive parts companies around the world to solve production challenges.
With a highly skilled and empowered workforce we get to work on interesting and new challenges on a daily basis.
Our staff is paid hourly and receives overtime after 40 hours. We offer medical and dental benefits as well as flex time.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assume the responsibilities of Purchaser in a fast paced custom manufacturing company.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to assume the responsibilities of Purchaser in a fast paced custom manufacturing company.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Interaction with Engineering and Project Management personnel in regards to tooling, material, and blueprint requirements.
- Prepare purchase orders and review requisitions for goods and services
- Will participate with research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, availability, reliability and production capabilities
- Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems, trace shipments and follow up on undelivered goods
- Communicate material requirement issues or delay of material shipment to appropriate personnel.
- Knowledge of customs procedures for import/export and Nafta Certifications would be an asset
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Experience with automated tool crib dispensary equipment a definite asset.
You must have the ability to :
- self direct with little supervision;
- handle multiple tasks concurrently with frequent interruptions
- work under pressure / stress
- problem solve and determine alternate options to ensure on time material delivery;
- anticipate, understand and respond to the needs of external and internal customers;
- strong computer skills in all Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and ERP system experience.
- Assess and implement continuous improvement and lean initiatives
