Job Description
SCOPE: Assist with labour relations, job posting process, schedule and attend monthly union meetings, assist with preparations for meetings, arbitrations, negotiations, and support the labour relations system
Assist Salaried Payroll / Benefits / Pension Administrator.
Assist with WSIB, STD and LTD claims as necessary, and participate on ESRW committee
Conduct timely investigations relating to Human Rights etc
Update staff job descriptions and maintain HAY pay range system
Assist with the GEDP staff performance appraisal process, tracking completion, data, reporting etc.
Assist with the process and development of documetnaiton relating to Human Resources policies, discipline, terminations, outplacement.
Develop & maintain workforce plans.
Miscellaneous HR duties as assigned
Reports to the Human Resources & Health & Safety Manager, Canadian Operations

WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Three to five years experience in a Human Resources Generalists capacity in a unionized manufacturing environment in the areas of labour relations, payroll, pension & benefits, harassment investigations, WSIB & Return to Work Programs, workforce planning / Training.
- Exceptional computer skills relating to MS Office, HRIS, Payroll etc.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
EDUCATION:
- College or University level certificate in Human Resources or equivelent work experience.
