Job Description
JMP is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. As a key member of the finance team, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting JMPs accounting processes and procedures including but not limited month end, general ledger support and much more.

What Would a Typical Day Look Like?
- Ensure project is opened in ERP system and that appropriate documentation (contracts, etc.) have been received and uploaded and that terms are acceptable
- Review project reports on a regular basis to ensure billing timelines are being met
- Support billing and collections
- Reconcile general ledger accounts as required
- Assist with month end and year end close
- Ad hoc tasks as required
What Qualifies You for this Opportunity?
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline
- 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role (desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to take charge and work with little supervision and guidance
- The ideal candidate will have their CPA or working towards completion
- Experience working in an ERP system environment
- Extremely detail oriented
- Analysis and reporting experience
- A polished professional with a strong sense of urgency and professional attitude
- A superior communicator (both oral and written)
- Knowledgeable at an advanced level in MS Office
- Dedicated and highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a demanding environment
