Tax Specialist role:   
  • Prepares and reviews client engagements for tax related activities
  • Reviews corporate, complex personal, and Trust returns
  • Prepares income tax returns (trust, personal and corporate)
  • Prepares regular reporting
  • Reporting to the firm’s Tax Partner, the Tax Specialist works closely with the Partner and firm Tax Manager to provide professional tax planning for clients
  • Creates and maintains excellent client relationships
  • Consistently seeks planning opportunities and value-added services to benefit clients
  • Contributes to the firm’s business development goals
  • Commits and participates in continuing professional development

Education and Experience:
  • CPA, CA/CGA/CMA designation
  • Ideally a minimum of five years’ experience in public accounting preferably with a specialization in tax for a minimum of two years
  • Completion/in-progress: In Depth Tax Course
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, compliance requirements and tax planning
  • Caseware/Caseview and Taxprep experience
