Job Description
Director of Children & Youth Christian Education
The parish of St. Aidan’s Anglican Church in London ON is seeking a Director of Children & Youth Christian Education. This ministry position will be part-time (~20 hrs/wk).
This person will lead a volunteer team engaged in the ministry of Christian Education of our youngest parishioners. This job will develop, implement and lead the education program of those under 18 years of age. This position will build upon the existing strong children and youth program and by means of this minister’s presence, care, and leadership; through worship and other liturgical activities; and in pastoral, family-support, catechumenal and pilgrimage programs.
We seek a practicing Christian with a teaching qualification and passion educating children and/or youth (ideally a person comfortable in Anglican liturgical traditions); a strong leader with experience in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers; a sensitive and insightful person with excellent people skills and a compassionate understanding of modern family life; and a person knowledgeable of resources and networks.
