Job Description

On behalf of our client in Hensall, ON, we are currently recruiting for a full-time Payroll Administrator on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be comfortable completing payroll for over 500 staff bi-weekly and be familiar with ADP software.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis for up to 600 staff, both hourly and salaried
  • Produce Records of Employment quickly and accurately
  • Calculate vacation pay and maintain YTD records
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of information
  • Prepare and balance payroll journal
  • Balance and finalize all year end payroll processes to accurately produce T4s and T4A’s
  • Verify accuracy of source deductions and EHT remittances
  • Calculate monthly WSIB premiums for payment
  • Maintain employee records, new hire induction, absenteeism reporting
  • Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
  • College Diploma, University Degree or Canadian Payroll Association Certified (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills
  • Advanced computer skills an asset; candidates must be proficient with MS Word & Excel
  • Experience working with ADP software considered a strong asset
Hours: Monday to Friday; 8:00am – 4:30pm
Compensation: Dependent up on candidate experience
