Express SRG is recruiting for an Assistant Controller for a large logistics company; southeast of London, ON. Reporting directly to the Controller; this position will be overseeing junior accounting staff and will be involved in project accounting for multiple companies.

- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Collaborate with Controller to develop and monitor budgets.
- Monitor and analyze costs associated with warehouse operations.
- Implement and improve cost accounting processes for enhanced efficiency.
- Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and reconciliation.
- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Previous experience in a construction, warehouse or logistics environment is advantageous.
- Experience with job costing/project accounting is required
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience
- Experience with accounting software like Yardi, Sage 300 is an asset
