12 MONTH CONTRACT POSITION
 
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Intermediate level technologist who performs a variety of moderately complex technical tasks
with relative independence under general supervision of a scientist, engineer or more senior
technologist.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILIITES

• Carries out a wide variety of technical functions.
• Selects method of presenting data and makes recommendations on findings, prepares and modifies drawings and designs.
• Performs within well-defined parameters with a limited opportunity for adaptation.
• Review and approve ENs for SCC releases; manually add notes for addition of planner codes to shiplist BOMs
• Check ENs and drawings of other associates on team
• Review questions or make corrections found by Production, process corrective ENs
• Process project specific Stop Orders
• Review original system and find replacement P/Ns or provide better solution for AMPS projects
• Review specifications, layout for project submittal when required
• Provide cost for Sales on existing components or estimate cost of new custom design items
• -Communicate with PMs and/or contractors regarding installation issues or missing parts-
• Review deviation requests from QA or suppliers
• Request Product Engineering Team to update Configurators as part of continuous improvement process

 BACKGROUND & SKILL

• Diploma in a relevant technology or equivalent experience.
• Generally at least three years with progressively more responsible experience.
• MS Office 2010 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), Adobe Acrobat Reader/9 Pro
• SolidWorks 2013 x64 Edition, AutoCAD 2014
