 TMI is currently advertising for the permanent position of Group Director, Science and Technology.
 
As a leader in the Science and Technology team, this position has responsibility for providing strategic, technical (intellectual property, science literature, technical standards, etc.), and managerial (people, business) direction to all science and technology departments.  It also acts as a technical resource to scientific and technological staff members, and as a Company representative and liaison in relevant external relationships including those with customers, suppliers, industry expert groups, research institutions, etc.
 
Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD) in science, engineering, pharmacology, chemistry, or life science
• Masters degree in business administration
• At least fifteen years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry
• Understanding of aerosol drug delivery systems
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to new product development, e.g. ISO Design Controls, FDA, GMP, and HPB
• Knowledge in applicable disciplines, e.g. mechanical engineering, aerosol science, etc.
• Computer literate with advanced experience in MS Excel; intermediate experience in MS Word and MS Project Management; advanced experience in database packages, internet information acquisition, graphical presentation packages, and mathematical statistics software, e.g. SigmaStat
• Ability to develop and maintain strategic and effective working relationships
• Ability to translate strategic direction into work plans and projects
• Excellent leadership and motivational skills
