Job Overview
As a key member of the controls team, you will be involved in all aspects of major projects from: inception, design requirements, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery and aftermarket support. With this overall goal in mind you will also support with:
- Write Controls Philosophies and test protocols
- Executing and verifying of PLC and HMI solutions
- Acting as a technical resource to sales, project teams and service
- Contributing to continuous & process improvements
- Meeting timelines for multiple projects and assigned tasks
- Travelling on international business for site commissioning (maximum 25%)
- Degree or diploma in Controls, Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering
- You will bring strong experience in PLC and HMI programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE) with preferably 8 - 10 years’ experience developing complex customer and /or product solutions
- Demonstrate an ability to self-direct, while working effectively and collaboratively with a team
- Show an ability to learn new tools, be creative, solve problems and pay close attention to detail
- Experience with industrial network protocols and embedded systems is an asset
- Offer excellent written and verbal communications skills in acting as a customer liaison, and company spokesperson
