Maintenance Electrician
On behalf of my client in Stratford I am recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician the successful candidate would be certified as an Industrial Electrician with Manufacturing Experience ideally. This is a full-time, direct hire position that offers room to grow with the company and paid overtime in addition to some interesting shift premiums. The ideal candidate would have a strong electrical, electronic and programming background with a flexible approach to work in teams or independently. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a variety of situations is key, including troubleshooting and commissioning.
 
Wage: $31.50 per hour + Shift Premiums
Shift Premium: of $0.65 after 1 p.m. = 2 hours of shift premium on Day Shifts
$1.00 if required to stay past 11 p.m. for breakdowns plus overtime after 40 hours


Shifts: 2 Shift Weekly Rotation – Days / Afternoons
Days: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.  / Afternoons: 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Alternate shift coverage on Nights occasionally for Emergencies and sick day coverage

 
Millwright Responsibilities:
  • Perform all relevant PM, troubleshooting and Kaizen activities for existing, new, updated or modified equipment and systems
  • Update and maintain the computerized maintenance management system ensuring reliable recording and data tracking for all activities covering production, auxiliary and facilities equipment including the building fabric and utilities
  • Coordination and implementation of all ESA and PSR requirements
  • Update and maintain all electrical and programming documents for all equipment
  • Accept all required training and travel requirements to maintain the anticipated standards the role demands and to ensure progression within the role
  • Embrace all other duties and requests as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager to further enhance the Maintenance Departments function
  • Participate in Kaizen Activities and Continuous Improvement Projects
Millwright Qualifications:
  • Certificate of Qualification: Electrician
  • Completed Electrical Apprenticeship and/or licensed Journeyman
  • Minimum of 3-5 Years of Experience in similar role
  • Equipment experience with Resistance Welders, Robotic MIG Welding, Caulking and Riveting Machines, and Automated Assembly Lines is desirable
  • Strong electrical, electronic, Omron PLC and Robotic Troubleshooting skills
  • Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems
  • Previous Automotive Manufacturing – Tier 1 and Tier 2 Experience is desirable
    Experience working in a Just in Time Automotive Facility is an asset
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work under pressure is key
  • There is 10% travel required for this position within Canada / USA
