Lucas Professional Search Group is recruiting for a Senior Accountant with experience in public accounting in London. Our client is looking to add to their senior financial team.  The successful candidate will be a lead member of the senior financial team and will oversee and prepare audited financial statements, corporate tax returns and participate in non-assurance services such as corporate finance, advanced tax planning and estate planning.
Position Details:

• Prepare, and complete financial statements, tax returns and working papers in accordance with firm and regulatory standards
• Advise on tax minimization strategies, planning opportunities and compliance related concerns
• Work closely with partners on client transfers
• Oversee full cycle accounting for a variety of clients
• Calculate accrual accounts & government remittances
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly journal entries
• Train and supervise junior staff
• Review the work of junior staff for accuracy
• Assist with the overall strategic planning for the firm

Requirements:

• 5 years’ experience in a senior accounting role
• 1-2 years expereince in Public Accounting
• University degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
• CA or CPA designation
• Strong verbal, and written communication skills
• Proficient with MS Office, TaxPrep, Simply, Caseware and QuickBooks. JazzIt is an asset
