Employment Group: Part-time Temporary Faculty
Hours of Work per Week: Up to 6 hours per week. Evening classes - 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.Closing Date: August 25, 2017
Note: This is a part-time temporary Faculty position (up to 6 hours per week) until March 31, 2018.
Fanshawe College is seeking a qualified professional for the position of Part-time Evening Faculty - Apprentice Tool and Die Program, through the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus. Faculty are responsible for providing strong academic leadership and developing an effective learning environment for students.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- A combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
- Superior computer skills and a familiarity with educational technologies are required
- Experience with hybrid and online teaching preferred
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary 2 year diploma in Tool Maker, Tool and Die Maker, or General Machinist
- Minimum 2 years recent and relevant experience
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- Trade Certification as Journeyman Tool Maker preferred
- Previous apprentice teaching an asset
