Hospitality Service Technician (THO 201400221)

Salary: $27.46 per hour
Hours Of Work Per Week: 35
Closing Date: September 30, 2013
Note: This is a full-time position (35 hours per week). This position is subject to averaging of hours.
Duties: Under the supervision of the Student Foodservice Manager, the incumbent is responsible for monitoring student production, performance and customer service of food and beverages in all training labs and special events. Utilizing the guidelines established by the respective professors, the incumbent will monitor, support and review student activity in accordance with prescribed College and local health and safety practices, while ensuring the ongoing care and maintenance of equipment and targeted budget. The incumbent will support faculty with feedback on students using established rubrics, lab capacity, material production and lab content.
Qualifications:
While transcripts are not required for the interview, they are mandatory prior to any offer of employment.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary 2 year CAAT diploma in Hospitality Management
- Minimum 3 years work experience in fine dining restaurants with demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- Smart Serve certification
- Current Safe Food Handling certification
- First Aid certification
- Excellent human relations, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to direct students
