Job Description
Our client, a leader in their field, is looking to add a well-rounded HR Generalist to their team. This role supports all functional areas of Human Resources.
This is a 12 month contract, and is located in Strathroy.

Responsibilities include:
- Direct responsibility for the Human Resources & Safety departments.
- Responsibility for Health & Safety program – identifying training needs, documenting procedures, developing policies, ensuring compliance for ‘due diligence’ purposes and minimizing exposure as per applicable legislation
- Manage the staffing and recruitment process
- Coaching and counseling for management team
- Counsels management and employees on HR issues & assists with solutions
- Report Human Resources & Safety performance metrics to Management team and Corporate office on a monthly basis.
- Company communications including memos, announcements, postings, and ad hoc communications
Qualifications include:
- 3 to 5 years HR Generalist experience with strong knowledge & capabilities in 2 or more of the following: recruitment & selection; benefits administration; employee relations & performance management; compensation; health & safety; training & development
- Undergraduate degree with CHRP designation
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Solid computer knowledge (MS Office, email); familiarity with HRIS systems an asset
