Job Description
Autodata Solutions is currently looking for a Project Manager for their London, ON office!
The role of the Senior Project Manager is to provide leadership and plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines, defined scope and within budget. This includes managing assigned resources and coordinating the efforts of third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define, document and manage the project’s charter, plans, communication plan and oversee the delivery of the project according to established methodologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & MEASURES
Project Management:
- Ensuring projects are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close)
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and define project delivery approach and success criteria
- Define and develop project documentation (charter/scope, requirements, work breakdown structure, milestones, schedules, governance, roles and responsibilities, RFx/SOW) in collaboration with project sponsor, involved stakeholders and the project team, ensuring the project is set up for success
- Ensure compliance to Autodata and client policies and project management framework/methodologies/standard by ensuring that all processes, discipline and controls are applied to projects
- Estimate, identify and request appropriate resources required to achieve project goals, making the recruitment requests if necessary during project cycle
- Monitor and report on project progress (schedule performance, financial performance, executive and team reporting, etc)
- Proactively identify potential risks/issues, and devise contingency/mitigation plans
Internal Communication / Relationship Management:
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion and liaise with stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/TRAITS/EDUCATION
- Post-Secondary graduate – university preferred within the Business/Computer Science areas
- Experience – 8 + yrs
- Certification – PMP – Required
- Other related certifications/ accreditations are an asset - ITIL, Advanced PM certifications, PRINCE2, etc.
- Experience with high complexity projects – multiple locations, large budgets (greater than $1M), managing +25 resources including offshore or 3rd party resources, legislative component to solution, new or untried solution, strategic or high profile client, global client or rollout
- Experience in SOW/RF/x development
- Proficient in MS Project, MS office, Visio, JIRA
- Advanced skills in MS excel, SharePoint
- Experience with industry recognized PPM/PSA tools
