MAINTENANCE ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN/OR TECHNOLOGIST

It is our great pleasure to be involved in the recruitment process for one of our valued clients in southwestern Ontario. On behalf of a tier 1 automotive manufacturer in Woodstock; we are presently recruiting for an  Electrical Technician.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Understand and interpret schematic drawings and symbols, installs, repairs and maintains industrial plant equipment, machinery and facility services.

·        Ability to communicate openly and clearly with Electricians/Millwrights and to understand work instructions and procedures.

·        Proficient in Omron and Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming and interpreting ladder logic for troubleshooting, revisions or new equipment installations.

·        Comply with Ontario Electrical Safety Code regulations for installations and modifications, to have a extensive understanding of the OH&S regulations on machine safety devices and guarding.

·        Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical devices for diagnosing faults, knowledge of motor theory and VFD controls.

·        Complete PM work orders of equipment to manufacturers recommendations or PM guide and provide feedback.

·        Calculation and selection of conduit and wire sizes for equipment supply installations and layouts and occasional fabrication of electrical panels and poke yokes.

 

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, applicants will need to have:

·       Must have Electrical Technician/Technologist Degree. With a minimum 2 years practical experience in an Industrial environment. Advanced training and understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics and proficient in PLC’s

·       Additional Electrical Certification 442A or 309D with Industrial experience preferred   

·        Experience with Allan Bradley and Omron PLC an asset

·        Strong trouble shooting skills

·        The physical demands of the job entail standing, kneeling, crouching, reach or lift or move up to 50lbs. Vision requires colour and depth perception.

·          Available to work all 3 shifts with potential overtime

 

This is a temporary to permanent position for the right individual, who has successfully completed probation.

 

The wage is $25.00/hr + shift premiums + 4% vacation pay - direct deposit paid
