Job Details

CARPROOF is seeking an experienced and innovative Human Resources professional to join our organization and  guide CARPROOF through the journey to build a performance and accountability-based culture.  Reporting to the COO, the Director- Human Resources will lead the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies and programs for the entire company, including:learning and development, recruitment and on-boarding, performance management, organizational development and effectiveness, workforce planning and general human resource functions to support CARPROOF’s growth objectives.

 

Overall, the Director- Human Resources is responsible for the creation and development of a high-performance culture and team.  The Director- Human Resources will collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization, and work to inspire a collaborative and communication-focused workforce. 

The ideal candidate is a passionate about HR, is self-motivated, and ready to lead an outstanding team of HR professionals.

Position Responsibilities

  • Acts as a strategic business partner with senior leaders providing consultation and support to achieve organizational goals and objectives
  • Champion an engaged and positive culture through effective HR strategies
  • Identify emerging company needs that are solved through organization design, development and recruiting strategies
  • Coach, lead and develop a team of Human Resources professionals to provide outstanding practices in the areas of employee relations and performance/talent management
  • Assist with communication optimization across the organization to ensure strong alignment to corporate goals
  • Promote a culture of continuous growth and development which includes the design and implementation of a comprehensive learning and development strategy
  • Lead the employee engagement program using a measurable platform across the organization
  • Oversee and manage all recruiting efforts, including in-house, hands-on recruiting strategies
  • Oversee vendor negotiations and monitor benefits to ensure that they are cost effective and support employee needs
  • Oversee the annual compensation review process

 

Education, skills and experience required:

  • Seven+ years of experience leading an HR team
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strategic objectives for HR and the organization
  • Experience with full-cycle talent management programs including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations and offboarding best practices
  • Experience working within a knowledge worker or technology based organization is an asset
  • Post-secondary degree with an HR specialty
  • CHRL designation
  • Knowledge of the ESA and relevant case law
  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to lead multiple initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present results to senior management as required
  • Ability to work cross-functionally at all levels of the company
