Our ideal candidate will be dynamic, learn quickly and be interested in becoming a true generalist owning a wide variety of financial responsibilities for a rapidly growing technology company.  As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the oversight of finance, accounting and reporting activities while performing all day-to-day finance operations.
 
What we’d like you to do:

• Maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Maintain accurate supporting information for all financial transactions, audits and remittances
• Manage the bookkeeping function, including the maintenance of the general ledger, A/P and A/R
• Contract management for all accounts, facilities and memberships
• Forecast, prepare and present budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; and recommending plans
• Tax filing including HST, WSIB, EHT and payroll deductions
• Supporting the management team with financial data for SR&ED filings
• Partner with sales, marketing, HR and operations to develop financial plans to support business initiatives

You should be someone who is/has:

• A designated chartered professional accountant (CPA)
• Proven financial acumen through a minimum of two (2) years of professional accounting experience. Public accounting experience in tax and audit would be considered an asset.
• A desire to learn and grow with the company
• Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to excellence
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Interested in building the accounting function and processes from the ground up
