On behalf of our client, a large and fast growing IT Solutions firm, we are looking for a Senior Cisco Network Engineer.  These positions are available in Windsor, London and Waterloo, ON. The main role of the Senior Cisco Network Engineer will be to work with mid to large sized organization on their IT infrastructure projects.  Specifically, the job will entail network assessments, VOIP assessments, security assessments, and design and implementations utilizing Cisco technologies.

Our Engineers are expected to provide expert technical assistance and they are often responsible for client user training and feedback.

Technical Requirements Include:

• 5+ Years working on Cisco networking hardware, including the following: Routers, Switches, ASA’s, AP,  Spam Filters, Web Filters
• 2+ Years working on Cisco VOIP solutions, preferably Business Edition in a multi-site environment
• A thorough understanding of Data Center design and security
• A thorough understanding of VLANs and dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience with Level 2 support for large multi-site corporate networks
• Configuring SNMP monitoring, traps, etc. to support and provide implementation methodologies for our managed services department
• Skilled with Visio
• Understanding of VMware
• Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, SMTP, RPC and other protocols including use of troubleshooting tools, scripting, resource kit diagnostic tools, etc
• University of College related degree or diploma in a technical field is preferred
