Job Description
Drake International is partnered with a large manufacturer located in Ingersoll. They are looking for a candidate to provide superior leadership in their CNC department.
The successful candidate will manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivi ty and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
Day to Day activities:
* Typically supervises 8-15 employees.
* Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved.
* Carry out supervisory responsibilities including training employees, planning, assigning & directing work; appraising performance; rewarding & disciplining employees; addressing complaints & resolving problems.
* Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.
* Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals.
* Ensures safet y programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma required + minimum of 5 years experience
* Candidate must have strong working knowledge of CNC machinery including setup & programming
* Supervisory experience required
* Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills; ability to work well in group situations; ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent manner.
* Good computer skills.
* Knowledge of lean m anufacturing principles, root cause analysis and problem solving skills.
