Warehouses with limited climate control, potentially hazardous equipment (forklifts, ladders, metal strapping, hand tools, reach trucks). The Distribution Centre may stock, sell and use hazardous material such as PVC cement, propane gas, solvents, etc. You may be required to handle these materials.

Job Summary

Job Duties
- Achieve sales, gross profit and profit sharing goals through the recruitment, development, training, coaching, evaluation and management of the Canadian team.
- Determine new customer opportunities, work with the account managers to assess account potential, establish sales goals for those accounts and hold the sales team accountable for achieving those goals.
- Analyze available financial reports and information, develop and implement appropriate strategies to increase sales and margins, improve productivity and manage assets and expenses.
- Create and update annual forecast and budget; be accountable for profit and loss statement and cost controls
- Build relationships with key accounts to understand their business, increase market share and identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure the Distribution Centres and customer service team meet or exceed service expectations of customers.
- Manage, set objectives for and measure the performance of the Canadian marketing and purchasing teams.
- Liaise effectively with the Canadian Support Centre and Division Manager to manage communications and operations
- Understand and follow all safety regulations at all customer locations as well as at the Distribution Centres.
- Safeguard and maintain all HJC Corporation’s assets – buildings, equipment, inventory and receivables.
- Uphold HJC Corporation’s Core Values at all times.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Division Manager or Financial Operations Manager.

- Understand purchasing and inventory control processes
- Able to learn and operate the applicable software system (Trend, Eclipse, Quickbase) used to process orders and manage projects
- Willing to invest a minimum of 40 hours in training and development annually
- Read, write, speak and understand English; French an asset
Education and Experience
- University degree
- Minimum 5+ years wholesale distribution and sales experience
- Minimum 3+ years in management or leadership role
- Knowledge or experience related to project management
- Valid driver’s license with a good Drivers’ abstract
- Use of the Microsoft Office software
