Job Description
QUALITY TECHNICIAN
Our client’s state of the art manufacturing facility and quality lab in Woodstock Ontario is looking for a Contract Quality Technician. This candidate must be open to both day and afternoon rotating shifts, but Monday to Friday only, 44 hrs a week.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficient in MS Office products (advanced Excel and PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of CMS or similar MRP system
• Process control, problem identification and solving
• Experience working in an ISO 9001 and TS16949 environment
• Working experience in performing calibration of equipment
• Experience working with SPC and continuous improvement projects
• Ability to understand technical drawings/specifications
• Experience with metrology
• Strong organizational skills
• High degree of integrity
• Proven ability to achieve results
• Proactive in learning and development activities
• Proven ability to adapt to a changing environment
• Strong analytical thinking process and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible to monitor all aspects of welding, performing visible and regular inspections or to verify that the work inspected and records maintained conform to the requirements of the customer & criteria set out by the company
• To conduct welding audits ensuring that all records are maintained so as to conform to the requirements of the applicable standards and other contract, customer or regulatory
requirements
• To ensure that welded assemblies conform to the relevant workmanship and acceptance
criteria
• To assist in the deployment of new weld processes and equipment
• Follow all inspection and testing procedures and requirements
• Fulfill all Health and Safety responsibilities as identified in the Occupational Health and Safety Program
• Ensure QMS conforms to the requirements
