Process Engineer – Die Cast
On behalf of our client, a global supplier of high precision engine components such as severe-duty and high performance valve train, fuel injection components for heavy equipment within the agricultural, construction, marine, and transportation industries; we are supporting their recruit for an experienced Process Engineer with High Pressure Casting experience to join the team.

Required Qualifications:
•Degree in Engineering related discipline
•At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
•Engineering experience in Automotive Manufacturing 
•Experience in a High Pressure Die Casting Environment
•Strong background in GD&T, CNC Machinery, Automation and Robotics
•Knowledge of machining and assembly, iron/aluminum castings, steel forgings and valve train components for diesel-engine’s
•Experience with CAD, Solidworks, Excel, and SAP
•Able to interpret blueprints, set up tooling, casting machine settings, troubleshooting
•Experienced in process flow optimization, cycle time calculation
•Continuous improvement, interpret injection shot curve
•Examples of Cost Saving Process Improvements

Position Responsibilities:
•Process design and development from the quote stage
•Leads meetings and activities surrounding PFD/PFMEA/CP
•Manage drawings and sets up routings in SAP
•Selecting machining technology, defining the process steps and specifying tools, fixtures and process requirements that meet the customer request at minimal cost
•Involved heavily in decision making for equipment purchase/redeployment and acceptance of new fixtures, assembly equipment 
•Interaction with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
•Achieve targets for cycle-times, tooling costs, part quality and number of operators as defined in the process design stage
