Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of the London District Catholic School Board for a Casual On-Call School Secretary for Elementary and Secondary schools in the London area.

Duties:
  • Perform receptionist duties by greeting visitors and parents, assisting with the intercom system, answering the telephone and ascertaining the nature of business, providing information or redirecting inquires as required
  • Perform various word processing and document creation including forms, correspondence, exams, student handbooks, newsletters, schedules and a variety of reports as directed
  • Manage confidential data regarding student and personnel information as required
  • Various administrative duties related to the job assignment
Compensation $12-13/hour depending on the school assignment; paid weekly!

Desired Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a College Diploma or Certificate in Secretarial training at an institution or equivalent as recognized by the Board
  • Superior knowledge of business English, spelling, and punctuation
  • Knowledge in the operation of office equipment such as photocopier, fax, telephone and computer
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications and a minimum typing speed of 55 wpm; testing will be administered prior to the interview process
  • Ability to offer flexibility and adaptability to assist at various schools on an on-call basis
  • Must provide an up-to-date Police Background Check and 3 work related references
