On behalf of our client in London, ON, we are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk on a contract basis.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

• Verify the accuracy of invoices
• Review the accounts payable sub-ledger to ensure accuracy
• Maintain adequate information for all suppliers
• Accurately calculate and deduct all available discounts from supplier payments
• Ensure that all information related to supplier payments has been completed and accurately entered, including balancing as required
• Attach all proper documentation to cheque vouchers
• Release signed cheques to the appropriate source on the due date
• Ensure adequate records are maintained with respect to contracts entered into prior to payment of accounts
• Organize and maintain an efficient up-to-date and neat filing system and procedure documentation
• Provide back up to other accounting clerks
• Other duties as assigned

 
Key Qualifications:

• Completion of Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of  2-3 years of related experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically MS Excel
• Experience working with REMS/Newstar or other accounting programs an asset
• Proven experience in meeting deadlines and working under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail

 
Compensation: $16-18.00 per hour, depending on experience
 
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00AM – 5:00PM
