Your Future:

  • You will perform the H&S pre-operational and HACCP checks and document results in the dough preparation.
  • You will check and document raw material inventory and usage.
  • You will ensure products are being produced according to recipes and specifications.
  • You will be responsible to maintain dough preparation and proofing, checking for proper and safe functionality of the equipment.
  • You will assemble, start, operate, visually control, adjust and troubleshoot industrial type equipment.
  • You are responsible for ordering and maintaining raw materials.
  • You will be responsible for other duties as assigned.
  • You will strive for improvements in your own area and others.
  • You are part of the team that produces highest quality Dr. Oetker products.
  • Food safety and security is of the utmost importance for Dr. Oetker and for you.
  • You consistently follow all Dr. Oetker Health & Safety policies and procedures, setting a positive example while exercising care within your work to prevent injuries to yourself and to your co-workers.
  • You understand that management may at its discretion reassign you to a different position, line, shift, shift rotation and/or department based on operational need.

Your Strengths:

  • You are an experienced baker or baker’s apprentice preferably with experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
  • You have experience with dough preparation and are knowledgeable about the principals of bread baking.
  • You have 3 - 5 years or more of experience with operating industrial scale equipment, such as dosing, mixing and proofing equipment and ovens.
  • You must be able to pass a practical and written test performed in the London location.
  • You have a High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • You are proficient in English, reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, and verbal communication.
  • You are mechanically inclined and have the ability to troubleshoot problems.  
  • You can work under conditions of hot / cold temperatures.
  • You must be able to work according to tight schedules and timelines.
  • You have the ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Physical essential abilities are handling heavy loads (up to 25 KG), manual dexterity, attention to detail, good hand-eye co-ordination, bending, twisting, lifting, and stair and ladder climbing abilities.
  • You can stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
  • You have the ability to work a 3 shift rotation, including coverage of unexpected leaves of absences and vacation.
  • You must be able to touch and work with pork, chicken and beef productions.
  • You have your own transportation as public transportation is not available.
