On behalf of our Client, a multidisciplinary Engineering Consulting firm with expanding presence in Southwestern Ontario, Randstad Engineering is seeking a licensed Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS) to lead the development of their new Geomatics and Surveying division.
The incumbent Candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Collaboration on technically inclusive projects
- Creation of Plans of Condominium, Plans of Subdivision, Reference Plans, Surveyor’s Real Property Reports and other Plans of Survey
- Perform/oversee legal research
- Develop best field practices
- Ensure the scope of work is clear for both office and field teams
- Schedule staff and projects
- Assist in the development and training of the Survey team
- Assist with site surveys to determine existing project information/controls
- Perform site reviews to ensure construction confirms to project documents
Qualifications:
- Licensed O.L.S. in good standing with AOLS
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience (POST-LICENSING) in Cadastral Surveying
- Must be eligible to hold a Certificate of Authorization from the AOLS
- Knowledge of municipal design/reconstruction, along with the reciprocal effect of their work on other fields
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (travel expenses compensated)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Microsurvey (Civil3D is an asset), measurement adjustment and least squares, a variety of surveying techniques and equipment, and Microsoft Office
