Full Time Banquet Cook – Hellenic Community Centre
$50,000 per year, plus benefits and bonus.
Requirements: minimum 1 year experience in a banquet setting, must have own transportation and Food Handling Certificate is mandatory.

Job Description:
- Position reports to Hellenic Community General Manager
- Responsible for preparing meals in a banquet setting for groups between 30-500
- Responsible for the preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner
- Responsible to actively control, maintain and improve food cost
- Responsible for planning menus and executing requests from customers
- Responsible for working closely with suppliers and monitoring/ordering food supplies and inventories
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers/volunteers
- Responsible for keeping a clean and organized kitchen, and compliance with Department of Health standards
- Responsible for training kitchen staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Must always be a team player, role model and run a safe kitchen environment
- Ability to have an open mind, willingness to learn and a commitment to provide the best service possible
