Job Description

Our client in London, Ontario is currently seeking a Bookkeeper on a full time, evaluation hire basis. The ideal candidate would have past experience working in a tax or accounting firm supporting small and medium sized businesses.

Duties (may include and not limited too):
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Processing invoices, paying bills
  • Create and process cheques
  • Reconciliation for specific accounts
  • Payroll as needed
  • Tax preparation and completing tax returns
  • Provide a high level of customer service to clients and problem solve as needed
  • General administrative duties (filing, sorting mail, data entry, etc.)
  • Accurately use accounting software in all aspects
  • Answering multi-line phone and direct calls as needed
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 year college diploma
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Must have previous experience with preparing tax returns
  • Previous experience with accounting software; Quickbooks in particular
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office including Excel 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fast paced environment
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must demonstrate flexibility with job requirements and adapt well to changing priorities
Compensation $16-$20/hour; depending upon experience

Hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Candidates must be flexible to work Saturdays during March/April for tax season
