QA/QC Technician
Small Pharmaceutical Company- London

BLES Biochemicals, www.BLESbiochem.com seeks a QA/QC Technician for their London location. BLES Biochemicals Inc., is the market leader for pulmonary surfactant in Canada, and manufactures and distributes BLES® (bovine lipid extract surfactant). BLES® is a pulmonary surfactant for use in the treatment of premature infants suffering from Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome. BLES Biochemicals Inc. is a privately owned Canadian controlled pharmaceutical company.

 

The QA/QC Technician’s responsibilities include:

  • Perform and document in-house testing of raw materials, packaging components and finished product, including stability and customer observation samples.
  • Track the status of QC samples; responsible for logging samples in the Sample Log.
  • Perform calibration and preventative maintenance of laboratory instruments.
  • Assist in developing and executing analytical method validations as required.
  • Report, investigate and document deviations and out-of-specification results.
  • Maintain the on-going stability inventory and testing schedule.
  • Maintain laboratory chemical and supplies inventory and prepare reagents as required.
  • Maintain general lab housekeeping and tidiness.
  • Write and review SOPs relevant to Quality Control systems.
  • Perform all work in a GXP compliant manner.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner.
  • Carry out related tasks as requested by the QA/QC Manager or the Board.

 

If you have:

  • A Community College Diploma as a Laboratory Technician
  • Ability to share knowledge and experience with team members
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish specific goals.
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good data analysis/manipulation skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel)
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and proper laboratory documentation.
