Job Description
Drake International is proudly partnered with a reputable & growing automotive manufacturer in South London. We are looking for Forklift Operators who enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.
This is a full-time opportunity that will allow candidates to learn and grow their skillset on the job. Our client offers a great work environment and 40 hours per week. This position is considered a temporary to permanent contract.
Hours: Monday – Friday (3pm-11pm)
Wage: $18.50/hr
Responsibilities:
- Load trucks in a timely and safe manner, within specified windows including verification that Truckers are adhering to required safety procedures (e.g. Wheel chocking) as required
- Unloading incoming dunnage, blanks, components, and miscellaneous items including verification for quality, quantity, tagging/identification, distribution of paperwork, and delivery or storage to correct location and/or person as required
- Organize and properly place product in storage areas (i.e. Finished goods, WIP, etc.) as required
- Operate a forklift in a warehouse environment
- Order picking
- Palletizing products
- RF scanner use
- Coordinate scheduling of trucks for pickup and delivery
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, or his/her designate.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years relevant work experience
- Experience in warehousing and/ or manufacturing environment
- Experience working in warehouse / distribution center
- Ability to work independently, well organized, effective judgment
- Cooperative and works well with others, strong communicator
- If the candidate has Forklift certification, it would be a bonus. The company do provide in-house certification
